Kilkenny launches Scéal 2019 with an intimate dinner and fashion showcase
Kilkenny launched Scéal: A Taste of Irish Flavours in its flagship store on Nassau Street with a five-course tasting menu inspired by the designers taking part in the annual fashion pop-up – Pearl Reddington, Jill & Gill, Reuben Avenue, and Sookyoung Song. In collaboration with Design Ireland presented by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland, Scéal is a celebration of the relationship Kilkenny has with its makers. Guests were treated to Chinnery Gin and Poacher’s Well G&Ts served in Waterford Crystal glasses, and a feast of burrata bruschetta;
heirloom carrot salad; hake with roasted vegetables, puy lentils, kale and almond pesto; slow braised Guinness beef with celeriac purée; and spiced mango and Irish cream cheesecake with meringue shards. The collections are available until September 29 in Kilkenny, Nassau Street.
