HOLLY HUGHES
Hailing originally from the wilds of West Cork, writer Holly Hughes has been living in Dublin for two years. She writes regularly for the Irish Examiner and the Irish Independent and is a contributor to IMAGE.ie. Beginning to write a new novel every other week, she eagerly awaits the day her enthusiasm will extend beyond scribbling an opening paragraph. Greta Thunberg has proved a source of infinite, if unconventional, inspiration for Holly. “In a world proliferating ‘perfection’, Greta is my reminder to honour authenticity, champion integrity and celebrate vulnerability – no matter how unpopular, uncomfortable or difficult that may be. Turning inhibitors into superpowers – what could be more inspiring than that?” Read her piece on page 64.
