Aisling Teillard left corporate life to build Tandem, a brand that is changing the landscape of HR globally. Using custom SaaS-based HR technology, Tandem provides an intuitive technology to facilitate employees owning their own development through real time feedback practices.

“I never I had an ‘aha!’ moment – it was more a series of organic moments,” the CEO admits. “I left corporate because I knew I wanted to try something different, and I went into consultancy. Here I saw a need in the marketplace and thought, ‘Oh, we should find technology to help us make feedback an easier experience.’” Looking around for a technology provider to franchise out, it became clear that nothing suitable was available. “We wanted to do something beyond feedback, because me giving you feedback is a little bit ‘so what’, and we wanted to make that meaningful for you.” Tandem now gives a personalised coaching report where, amongst other insights, employees can see how their colleagues perceive them. “It’s so easy for your peers to see your strengths, your potential, your amazing talents that you don’t always see yourself. So we just wanted to open people’s eyes.” Tandem is now used by large scale enterprises globally, including AXA, KBC, Chloé, Cartier and Montblanc. “There was one moment when I was on a client site, during an innovation week, and they were showcasing Tandem. There was this team of people who I’d never met before, who were selling Tandem better than I do! And it was amazing, and I thought, ‘Okay, this is a helpful and good thing.’”
