A hidden gem at the heart of Georgian Dublin

A happy marriage of 19th century elegance and 21st century comfort.

-

Take a walk along leafy Pembroke Road and you’ll find yourself in one of Dublin’s bestpreserved Georgian neighbourhoods, framed by the city’s three most beautiful Georgian garden squares – St Stephen’s Green, Merrion Square and Fitzwilliam Square. Behind the door of No 88 are three original, adjoining, Georgian residences. For over 20 years, Pembroke Townhouse has been welcoming guests to the heart of Dublin city – a fifteen minute stroll from St Stephen’s Green – past cosy cafés, busy brasseries and Michelin-starred restaurants. Recently restored in 2019, the architects have preserved the distinctive character of the original 19th century building, combined with a sense of 21st century style and comfort.

Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming sitting room and open fireplace. In the breakfast room light pours through the generous sash window, where each morning the resident chef serves his much-loved, award-winning breakfast, freshly prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

Paula Johnston, General Manager, is excited about the future: “My team at Pembroke Townhouse are dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere, where guests feel free to make themselves at home. At a time when there’s no shortage of new hotels popping up in Dublin, it’s refreshing to discover somewhere a little bit different. With our loyal following of guests who return again and again, this Georgian gem is definitely one for you to discover.”
