HORSING AROUND
The Red Mills Race Day at Gowran Park
Blustery, wet weather did not deter the thousands that descended on Gowran Park for the annual Red Mills Race Day. An exciting day of racing included highlights such as Rachael Blackmore and Henry de Bromhead achieving back-to-back Red Mills Chase wins with Chris’s Dream. As usual, there were many stylish guests in attendance, with stiff competition for the best dressed contest and fashion shows hosted by Marietta Doran. The judges – Emily O’Donnell and Edward Hayden – chose Keira Warren from Enniscorthy as the ladies’ winner.
She wore a tweed dress which was made especially for the event by local designer Elīna Špēra, with the theme “Racing Chic” in mind. Keira paired the dress with a feather-trimmed hat, which she created herself.
