TREVOR HART & ELEANOR HARPUR
Art director and production stylist Eleanor Harpur, below, and photographer Trevor Hart met while working on a project for the Design & Crafts Council Ireland. It turned out that not just their talents were compatible, as romance quickly blossomed. Eleanor previously trained with the Conran Group and became creative lead at Habitat Ireland, while Trevor’s journey with photography began when his parents gave him a camera for Christmas in 1978 instead of a Grease LP. He was initially drawn to the singular style of working alone as a photographer, but now, it’s the opposite. “I love collaborating with people who have complementary talents and ideas,” Trevor says, “especially with Eleanor – we never fight.” They combined their talents for our make-up shoot on page 100, deftly smudging, smashing and smearing to create pages of vivid, artist-worthy palettes.
