The Handmade Soap Company is not just for women, or just for men.

The products appeal to anyone environmentally-conscious, who cares about natural ingredients and enjoys beautiful things made in Ireland, in other words – you.

ROB KENNY

One of Ireland’s top fashion influencers, Rob Kenny is the Men’s Fashion Expert on The Today Show as well as the founder of his own PR agency, Rob Kenny PR. He’s also an avid fan of skincare, making him an ideal brand advocate for The Handmade Soap Company.

What made you become a brand advocate for The Handmade Soap Company? “I’ve always been a huge lover of sustainable skincare. All of their products are cruelty-free, vegan, eco-friendly and handmade in Ireland from mostly foraged ingredients. Throughout my twenties, I’ve become more environmentally conscious, so the fact that I can support an Irish brand making the most beautiful natural products, knowing everything they do is as kind to the environment as possible, is a huge win for me.”

What is your favourite range? “I adore all of the original ranges. However, the new Anam range is definitely the one for me. The hero products are keep-forever, stunning ornate glass wash and lotion bottles (made from soda cans!). The Handmade Soap Company team also launched the world’s first ever compostable refill pouches. The corn-based pouches are popped through your letterbox when you are running low, and after you refill, you simply place them in your compost bin.”

Favourite product? “The new Anam Electric Aroma Diffuser – it’s completely changed the environment of my home. It’s a sleek, ceramic design that fits in with even the most stylish of homes. The Tarragon, Black Pepper & Oak Moss essential oil is the most beautiful home fragrance I have ever smelt. I was laughing with my partner that our home now constantly smells like a five-star spa in the middle of an Irish forest.”

CELIA HOLMAN LEE

Limerick-born Celia Holman Lee has been modelling since her teens. When she is not managing the Holman Lee Agency, Ireland’s longest running modelling agency and fashion show production company, she can be found presenting the fashion slot on Ireland AM.

What made you become a brand advocate for The Handmade Soap Company? “I’m truly passionate about supporting Irish business. I first came across The Handmade Soap Company products in the bathroom of a hotel in Limerick. I noticed how beautiful the scent was and then spotted the ‘handmade in Ireland’ mark. And that was the beginning of a long relationship! Every time I choose them over the big international brands, I know I’m supporting local jobs, and that means a lot to me.”

What makes their products so unique? “The Handmade Soap Company founders believe that kindness is a necessary ingredient in everything they do, from their natural ingredients to their recycled packaging, to the team’s work ethos. I can rest assured that no matter what product of theirs I use, I will be getting a quality, original creation doing exactly what it should do, in the kindest possible way.”

Favourite product? “The Lemongrass & Cedarwood Candle – my absolute favourite fragrance. And there are no synthetic fragrances used, so I don’t get any headache after lighting it, as I often do with other brands. I also love the Lavender, Rosemary, Thyme & Mint Hand Cream – the size is perfect for a handbag, and it is so light and healing after all of the hand sanitiser we’re using right now. And the Bergamot & Eucalyptus Pillow + Room Mist is so bright and refreshing, yet calming.”

We take great pleasure in looking after our people, our growing tribe, and our planet. We make it our business to make the world a better place, by not only lifting spirits and tickling the senses, but by raising the bar too. And we don’t just mean soap. thehandmadesoapcompany.ie
