- IrishCentral Staff

Irish talent was out in force at Monday night's Met Gala in New York City, oft en called "the fashion Oscars".

The theme for this year's Met Gala, the annual fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York held this year on May 6, was “The Garden of Time" and celebrates the opening of the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief at "Vogue", famously oversees the exclusive guestlist for the Gala, and this year several Irish stars landed an invite. As well as this, Irish designers dressed many of the A-list celebrities walking the Met carpet, from Sarah Jessica Parker to Ayo Edibiri.
