The ‘young Prince Charles’ stole the show at the recent premiere of The Crown but he’s just one of the new crop of starlets set to go stratosphe­ric.

BILLY JENKINS, 10 You’ll know him from… Playing a very young Prince Charles in series one and two of Netflix hit The Crown and wowing crowds on the red carpet with his cheeky poses. Sports fan Billy also hosted a web series Little Interviews where, as European Tour golf ’s ‘toughest interviewe­r’, he grilled golf stars and celebrity fans of the sport, such as One Direction’s Niall Horan. Next up Making a big-screen appearance as a pickpocket­ing street urchin alongside Will Ferrell in comedy caper Holmes and Watson, due out next year. BROOKLYNN PRINCE, 7 You’ll know her from… Her breakout performanc­e in indie movie The Florida Project (she was just six at the time of filming). Now Florida-born Brooklynn is the toast of the movie industry and is hotly tipped as a 2018 Oscar contender. If successful, she’ll break the record held by Tatum O’Neal, who won best supporting actress aged ten for Paper Moon in 1974. Next up Brooklynn is rumoured to be starring alongside Angelina Jolie in live action-CGI hybrid The One and Only Ivan. WILL TILSTON, 10 You’ll know him from… His starring role as the young Christophe­r Robin in Goodbye Christophe­r Robin. Will, who was cast in the part on his very first audition by the director who discovered Daniel Radcliffe, has enjoyed quite the career trajectory – his previous acting experience included playing the donkey in his school nativity. Next up It’s back to school for Will but it seems the acting bug has bitten. ‘I’d love to be an actor,’ he says. ‘I have been doing more auditions so we’ll see how that goes.’ QUVENZHANE WALLIS, 14 You’ll know her from… Earning an Oscar nomination aged nine for her performanc­e in Beasts of the Southern Wild in 2013, making her the youngest actress ever to receive a nod for best actress. Quvenzhané lied about her age at the audition in order to be considered; the minimum age was six and at the time she was five years old. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe in 2015 for her role in Annie and appeared in 12 Years a Slave. Next up Quvenzhané says acting is currently off the agenda, but she has just published two children’s books.

JACOB TREMBLAY, 11 You’ll know him from… Receiving numerous of plaudits aged seven for his star turn in 2015’s Room, including the Critics’ Choice Award for best young actor (his co-star Brie Larson won the best actress Oscar for the film) – a moment he described as ‘super cool’. The Canadian actor most recently appeared on screen alongside Julia Roberts in Wonder, playing Auggie, a child born with facial deformitie­s who begins to attend a mainstream school. Next up Starring in The Predator, a sequel to the 1987 sci-fi film Predator. MCKENNA GRACE, 11 You’ll know her from… Lighting up cinema screens this year as a child prodigy in Gifted alongside Chris Evans. Mckenna, from Texas, has been acting since she was six and has garnered credits including soap opera The Young and the Restless. Next up Mckenna plays the young Tonya Harding in the darkly comic competitiv­e ice-skating biopic I, Tonya, alongside Margot Robbie. She will also pop up in the forthcomin­g Netflix TV series The Haunting of Hill House. MILLIE BOBBY BROWN, 13 You’ll know her from… Captivatin­g boxset addicts everywhere as the psychokine­tic Eleven in Stranger Things, which earned her an Emmy nomination this year. Millie, who moved to Florida from England with her parents aged eight (and now lives in Los Angeles), has racked up more than nine million Instagram followers and clinched a modelling campaign with Calvin Klein earlier this year. Next up Millie will be starring in her first film, Godzilla: King of Monsters, up for release in 2019. MAX VENTO, 8 You’ll know him from… Stealing scenes as Joe in must-see BBC drama The A Word, about a family coming to terms with their son’s autism. Max – who isn’t autistic – was only six when he filmed the first series and has been praised by co-stars including Christophe­r Eccleston for his natural performanc­e. Next up Fingers are crossed for a third series of The A Word. In the meantime, Max continues with his drama, singing and dance lessons.
