Whiskey event with a twist

Irish Daily Mail - YOU - - FOOD & DRINK NEWS -

If you’re a whiskey connoisseur, then this event needs no selling to you but even if the tipple is not your thing, the Whiskey Live event in Dublin Castle on November 23-24 is still worth a visit. Chinnery Gin is among the non-whiskey brands exhibiting. Enriched with ten botanicals including the formidable flavours of oolong tea and osmanthus flower, its background story is ensconced in the old China trading world. The decadent decanter would be perfect to keep long after it’s been emptied and while the front label depicts a Georgian Dublin townhouse, if you take a closer look you’ll see that on the far side of the sash windows the lively spirit of the Far East is revealed through the patterns within. Call by their stand at the event to meet distiller and co-founder David Havelin, who will be there over the course of the weekend to give an insight to the story of this gorgeous new gin.
