WINE IDEAS

-

It’s a small but perfectly good list with Dopff & Irion Alsace

Riesling a good choice with the food at €43 (pictured). Prices by the glass start at €7.70, but the best value comes from Château La Coste in Provence, owned by Paddy McKillen, who heads Press Up Group. The basic red, La Rouge, is good stuff at €8.60 or €34 for a bottle, Le Blanc is a blend of Viognier and Grenache Blanc at the same price, and there’s a very pleasant rosé. The Grand Vin, both white and red, are excellent wines and actually darn good value at €65. I was surprised to see that Tiger is the only Asian beer on the list and would think that Asahi and Tsingtao would be very much at home here.
