WINE IDEAS

-

Pichet is one of a diminishing number of restaurants that don’t have their wine list online. The fact is, a lot of people want to see the wine selection before booking. Also, we need to see vintages. It’s not a lot to ask. There’s a reasonable selection by the glass and the 50cl pichet or carafe.

Prices start at

€8.75/€23 for a

French Vermentino/

Sauvignon and a Languedoc red, Domaine des Lauriers Picpoul de Pinet is €10/€26.75, our Villa Huesgen Mosel Riesling (pictured) is €11.75/€31.50. The very sound Olivier Rivoire Côtes du Rhône is €10/€27 and Château Puynard Bordeaux Blaye is delicious at €13/€35. Prices are generally just over twice retail rates, which is usual but Finca Dofi at €220 strikes me as bit rich, lovely as it is.
