Top drawer offer for football fans
FOR football fans who just have to be at the European Championships – and who don’t mind paying handsomely to make sure they get there – help is at hand.
UEFA’S commercial manager Magdalena MazanyKrasnodebska was in Dublin yesterday to launch hospitality offers for this summer’s tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
Club Prestige Gold (€1,450) and Club Prestige Platinum (€1,950) are on offer for Ireland’s games against Italy and Croatia in Poznan – for a single seat in a ten-seat ‘skybox’ high in the stands.
For the Spain match in Gdansk, the gold option is €1,450, while platinum costs €2,250 a seat in a ten or 20seat sky-box. Packages for a series of knock-out stage games are on offer, plus sin- gle packages for the final. Miss Mazany-krasnodebska said 12million people want ordinary tickets to the matches – up 17pc on 2008 and a new record.
Platinum fans will have access to a private sky-box, while gold fans will be able use an open hospitality business lounge.
Prestige fans are promised good music, food and wine for three hours before a match kick-off and for an hour and a half afterwards.
‘Whilst preparing the Club Prestige offer, UEFA considered the needs of the Irish business and is offering single packages for the Irish team matches,’ said Miss Mazany-krasnodebska.
Ireland’s first game is on June 10, against Croatia.
