Nadine sends oil her best to ex Jesse ahead of his Dallas debut

-

IT’S been four years since they parted ways. And it seems that time is a great healer, with Nadine Coyle this week reaching out to wish her ex-boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe well on his latest television project, Dallas.

The former Desperate Housewives hunk has been cast as Christopher Ewing in the resurrected version of the glossy drama series, and has been busy promoting the show in the US.

Nadine, who yesterday lent her support to her former partner from London, tweeted: ‘Congratulations Jesse Metcalfe on your new show Dallas airing tonight. I wish I was there to see it but the family are tuning in in LA. x’

The Girls Aloud singer first stepped out with the actor after they met in Australia while on work commitments.

The couple, pictured, enjoyed a long- distance relationship for more than two years.

But while they looked great together, their relationship was a rocky one.

In 2007, Jesse admitted that he wa s battling alcohol problems and checked himself into rehab.

While Nadine vowed to stand by her man, they split for a time that year after reports emerged that the Desperate Housewives star had been unfaithful.

The couple later reconciled and made a number of high-profile appearances together before parting ways for good in 2008.

A source said at the time: ‘Nadine decided to break up with Jesse. She’s saying it’s just a break but we all know it’s not.

‘They’ve had a very unstable relationship of late and she tried everything to make it work.’

Since her romance with the actor ended, Nadine, 26, went on to have a relationship with Jason Bell. The pair, who subsequently got engaged, confirmed their split last year. But Nadine seemed keen to ensure that the door wasn’t closed on a possible reconciliation with the American f ootballer, telling reporters: ‘We’re still very much in each other’s lives.’ Jesse has also gone on to find love, and is reportedly engaged to actress Cara Santana.
