The A-Z of dreams

The hidden secrets of your unconscious mind

-

THERESA CHEUNG, author of The Dream Dictionary From A To Z, deciphers your dreams. This week, L is for...

LADDER: If you can’t make a practical connection, such as work in your house, try to think of the purpose of a dream ladder. How is it being used? Like elevators and stairs, ladders relate to your progress or lack of it.

LANDSLIDE: Unlikely to be prophetic, your dream is warning you about something that is going on in your waking life to which you need to pay attention. If you dreamed the earth was cracking open beneath you, this threat may be echoed in changes at work or in a relationship — while if you are swept away by a landslide, you are being urged to hold on to someone or something in waking life in order to regain stability.

LEMON: If you were sucking a sour lemon in your dream, this could mirror your acid tongue in waking life or that of someone you know. When you dream of a lime, it is a symbol that hard times are ahead, but periods of great prosperity will follow.

LIGHTHOUSE: This may appear in a dream as a beacon guiding you to safety. A lighthouse can indicate a rocky area you should avoid. Such a dream may be urging you to rely on your own resources to avoid foundering.

LIGHTING: If you are carrying a light in your dream, does it mean you have a talent you are not using? Or does it mean you are about to flare up and have an angry outburst?
