Police want to speak to Irish model over Big Brother incident

I RISH model Hazel O’Sullivan will be asked to speak to police over a bedroom incident with a Big Brother contestant that l ed to him being removed from the house.
Detectives in the UK are keen to interview the Wexford model – who previously dated tragic boxer Darren Sutherland – as they investigate what happened in the house 12 days ago.
Daley Ojuederie was removed from the house after he was caught putting his hands around Ms O’Sullivan’s neck, as well as threatening her and swearing at her.
Police confirmed that they were looking into the ‘serious incident’ and it is thought they may even enter the house to i nterview her. The show is being broadcast on Channel 5 in the UK.

‘This incident won’t go away’
Star the investigation could lead to boxer Mr Ojuederie, who has expressed deep regret si nce t he i ncident, being arrested for assault and threatening behaviour.
A police statement read: ‘We are aware that an incident took place in the Big Brother house on July 14 and are we are working with the production company to investigate the full circumstances of what happened. These i nvestigations are ongoing at this time.’
A source told the newspaper: ‘This is one incident that won’t go away. Daley may have been removed but the implications of what he did are rumbling on and it could even end in his arrest.
‘In the outside world, if any guy did that to a girl, the cops would want statement. It’s no different for Big Brother.’
The aggressive gesture came just days after Mr Ojuederie was seen smacking Ms O’Sullivan on her behind twice, At the time the Irish model reacted angrily, saying: ‘You can’t slap my a*** like that... Don’t do that again because it hurt.’
When Ms O’Sullivan still refused to give back Daley his duvet, he stood over her bed, saying: ‘Do you want me to get mad? Remember what I said, when I go mad it’s scary.’
After the incident, a representative for the reality programme told the Mail: ‘Due to threatening and aggressive behaviour towards Hazel O’Sullivan we have taken the decision to remove Daley Ojuederie from the Big Brother House.’
The news of the police involvement comes as it was reported the pair are planning to meet up once Ms O’Sullivan leaves the house, despite the scandal which occurred.
Friends of the 28-year- old fighter have hinted that more went on between the pair than was shown on the programme. Ms O’Sullivan, 22, from Kilmore, Co. Wexford had a relationship with Olympic bronze medallist Sutherland before he was found hanged in his flat in London in September 2009. She previously said they split the day before she was due to move over to live with him in the UK – a month before his death, it was reported.

close friends with Sutherland despite their split. She spent time with him in London during the summer before he died and she attended his last fight.
After he died she paid a moving tribute to him saying that he had ‘a heart of solid gold’.
She said at the time: ‘When I first met Darren, I was instantly struck by his magnetic cha- risma, his outstanding enthusiasm for life and his unforgettable heartwarming smile.
‘He was such a gentleman, so handsome with such grace.’
While on Big Brother, she broke down in tears over insensitive remarks concerning her former boyfriend.
She previously had a relationship with Calum Best and was famously involved in a tense stand- off with Georgia Salpa over the relationship, as Ms Salpa also once dated George Best’s son, it was reported.
Ms O’Sullivan also used date Leinster and Ireland rugby player Fergus McFadden and CityWest magnate Ji mmy Mansfield. She has lately been a ‘walk on’ girl on Sky Sports darts coverage.
She also got into hot water when she promoted a new diet, which involved her taking a daily supplement of hormones that have been extracted from pregnant women’s urine.
