CRAFT ROBOT SPIDERS, PAPER PLANES AND LOTS MORE
TODAY, from 10am to 6pm, the Science Gallery hosts its second Dublin Mini Maker Faire at Trinity College Dublin. The free, family-friendly event brings together craftspeople of all ages to showcase their inspiring creations. Visitors can pet a giant robotic spider, find out about internet-connected time-lapse photography and even build the ultimate paper plane before flying it with a pressurised launcher. COMEDY DYLAN, TOMMY AND CO PROVIDE LAUGHS
WHATEVER the weather, why not let some of the finest comedians around brighten up your weekend in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens. Today and tomorrow are the last days of the Vodafone Comedy Festival, but tickets are still available. GARDEN EXPLORE OUR NATURAL PLANTS AND INSECTS
IF we get a sunny spell, it is worth visiting the Walled Gardens in Powerscourt Gardens, Co. Wicklow. One of the oldest parts of the estate, the gardens feature more than 1,000 varieties of plant along with Ireland’s longest herbaceous border, which is now in spectacular full bloom.
