Garda inquiry into bomb on housing estate
A BOMB explosion rocked a house in Dublin yesterday almost a year after another device was found in the area.
A suspected pipe bomb was detonated outside a house in Belcamp Avenue, Coolock, at 3am.
The blast is believed to have caused damage to a car. No one was injured in the attack.
Experts from the Army bomb disposal team were not called but it is expected they will carry out post-blast analysis of the scene.
Gardaí are investigating and have appealed to the public for help.
Last September, officers were called to the area to defuse a viable improvised explosive device.
An army unit disabled a bomb that was discovered outside a house in nearby Belcamp Crescent.
A similar device was discovered in Phibsborough, Dublin, a month earlier.
