3 TO FOLLOW THIS WEEK AT BALLYBRIT

-

DOUBLE SEVEN

(Martin Brassil) Smart winner of two recent chases at Kilbeggan, including valuable Midlands National. Acts well on summer ground and an improver. Entered in Plate on Thursday but more likely to appear in Friday’s Galway Blazers Handicap Chase. Won valuable handicap hurdle here in 2011.

STUCCODOR

(Dermot Weld) Tough, classy and genuine. Acts on any ground. Won fifth race in a row at Tipperary in May by half a length over Fiesolana despite giving 11lb. Entered for tomorrow’s Topaz Mile and Sunday’s Ahonorra Premier Handicap.

BLOSSOM GATE

(John Kiely) Very likeable six-year-old mare. Winner of two bumpers — one of them at Ballybrit — in 2011. Not an immediate success over hurdles, winning at Cork in November at her sixth attempt over timber. But good placed efforts thereafter before a bloodless strike in twomile, five-furlong handicap hurdle at Limerick. Entered for Wednesday’s Tote-sponsored three-mile handicap hurdle.
