WHAT with Cavan being given something of a nightmare draw in the All-Ireland quarterfinals, and the general sluggishness of their display against an exhausted London side in Saturday’s qualifier victory that got them into the last eight for the first time, we should expect news from Seanie Johnston any day now. It’s likely that he’s had a bit of a change of mind on the whole Kildare-Cavan return journey thing and will put in a request for a transfer to Kerry any day now. To get all the necessary paperwork through and wear the green and gold, he has to find a suitable club in the Kingdom. Dr Crokes would probably fit the bill, as they tend to win a fair amount of the time, which seems to be Seanie’s stipulation.
