12 Years A Slave star looks divine thanks to our Chris

OSCAR-NOMINATED actress Lupita Nyong’o i s turning heads on the Hollywood red carpet – and it’s thanks to a Kilkenny goldsmith.

The 12 Years A Slave star – known for her sense of style as much as her powerful acting skills – turned up at this week’s Producers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills with a stunning clutch bag, co-designed by Chris Heltzel.

Leatherwor­k for the clutch, which sells f or € 2,300, is by Sellerie Maroquiner­ie Atelier in Paris, and the silver metal work was created by Chris, of Rudolf Heltzel.

‘For the past year I have been working on developing the designs for the bags and use nature as my main inspiratio­n,’ said the designer. ‘I am delighted and very flattered she choose to wear the bag.’

Designers across the globe are clambering to dress the Hollywood star, who hasn’t put a foot wrong stylewise so far this red carpet season.

and truly felt on at the Golden Globes in a jaw dropping red caped Ralph Lauren dress almost a fortnight ago.

The style icon received rave reviews for her appearance alongside Michael Fassbender in 12 Years A Slave.

Despite losing out to Jennifer Lawrence at the Globes, many are tipping Nyong’o to take the ultimate prize at next month’s Oscars.

She took home another gong six days ago at the Screen Actor Guild Awards, where she picked up the accolade for Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

Nyong’o hit the style spreads for the first time at the Toronto Film Festival in a long white finely pleated Prada gown with gold embellishm­ent. She also turned fashion heads at Paris Fashion Week, sitting front row at Miu Miu in a pink dress.
