Courteney still likes her flaky Friends but a reunion is out of the question

-

COURTENEY Cox did not seem to mind answering questions about Friends in a recent interview but she was adamant there would be no reunion. ‘Let it go!’ the 50-year-old actress told I Yahoo’d Myself on Friday when asked about the possibility of the sitcom’s six stars getting together again.

The reason for her ‘no reunion’ attitude was only hinted at but Courteney mentioned a ‘person who flakes’ whenever t he cast tr i ed t o get together.

‘We’re not doing it! It’s just not going to happen,’ the actress behind Monica Geller said of the persistent desire of fans for a Friends reunion more than ten years after the sitcom went off the air.

She also confirmed that the six actors – Courteney, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer – had never all been in the same place at the same time since their show’s finale in 2004.

‘We’ve gotten about 80 per cent there, but there’s always one person who flakes at the end,’ Courteney explained.

When asked if she would reveal who the flake was, Courteney remained somewhat cryptic.

‘I’m not going to name names but it may not be [David] Schwimmer,’ was all the actress would say.

Courteney did joke that her character of Monica might consider doing a solo film, even if the other Friends actors were too busy to join in.

‘Monica is going to do a movie!’ she laughed. ‘It’s going to be called Hanging With Monica.’

‘People will be running to the theatre,’ Courteney added.

Unlike full-group reunions, pairs of Friends cast members have managed to get together frequently, especially Courteney and Jennifer, who have remained close friends.

‘She’s the greatest BFF,’ Courteney insisted of her 46-year-old cast mate.

Having recently finished up her longrunning acting gig on Cougar Town, Courteney has turned to directing, with her first feature film, Just Before I Go, which premiered to a positive reception at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Friday.

‘I think directing’s my thing,’ Courteney said of her new role, adding that she liked being the boss on a set.

The always-busy Courteney also answered a few questions about her upcoming wedding to Derry-born fiancé Johnny McDaid – the actress’s ten-year- old daughter, Coco, apparently has plans to sing.

‘She also sang at David’s [Arquette, Coco’s father] wedding a couple weeks ago,’ Courteney noted.

‘I think she’s probably going to be a wedding singer. She’s really booking them right now!’
