Especially for you... but you could make an effort, Jason

-

IT’S been nearly three decades since Jason Donovan achieved fame in the music industry. And Donovan was a far cry from his usual bubbly self as he cut quite the fatigue figure during his gig at iFest Vintage Pop Concert in the north of England. The 47-year-old, who famously dated Kylie Minogue during his time on Neighbours in the Eighties, looked fairly dishevelled as he powered through some of his hits. Ahead of his set, Donovan, left, took to his social media sites to post: ‘Getting ready for iFest tonight !! Blackpool are you ready for me ??’ Earlier this year, the Australian star announced that he will tour again with his former No1 album Ten Good Reasons in 2016. The actor-turned-musician, who also presents the All 80’s Show on Heart Radio in London, plans 20 exciting dates. He was in the north of England for the start of the annual Blackpool Illuminations. Every year, organisers invite a well-known figure to switch on the lights show. And this year was no exception with Hollywood film director Tim Burton enlisted to help out. However, the Edward Scissorhands director made a typically quirky wardrobe choice when he opted to do the honours while toting a glove fashioned into a huge crab claw. Burton looked completely unfazed by the fact he had the job of turning on the lights wearing an oversized pincer on his hand. The 57-year-old – who recently confirmed that he’s working on a sequel to Beetlejuice – wrapped up warm for his night in Blackpool, wearing a black, button-up coat and navy shirt. In May this year, he injured himself on the set of Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, which was being filmed around Blackpool Tower. He was rushed to the city’s Victoria Hospital, but after a medical examination, the filmmaker was permitted to carry on directing the movie. His publicist confirmed to MailOnline at the time that the director didn’t break any bones, stating: ‘Tim attended hospital with a minor injury, no breakages.’
