Er... excuse me, Hugh? I am still here you know!

- By Ben Wilkinson

SHE probably thought he would take it in his stride. But it seems Elizabeth Hurley’s joke at the expense of Hugh Grant may have been a step too far.

The former couple – who have remained friends since splitting 15 years ago – were enjoying a walk near their west London homes when a striking young woman strolled past them on the pavement.

Grant, 55, turned to look at the leggy brunette and Miss Hurley, 50, smiled broadly. But she then seemed to tease her old boyfriend, to his apparent annoyance.

The Four Weddings star made a ‘claws out’ gesture at his former girlfriend of 13 years, before turning his back and carrying on down the street.

Miss Hurley, who looked casual in a pair of furry boots and light brown jumper, watched with a bemused expression as her ex walked away.

Earlier this year, she revealed her friends used to call Grant ‘Grumpelstiltskin’ while they were dating. ‘I love him, but he’s very annoying,’ she said, adding: ‘He is grumpy.’
