Tayto Park hits new high
SOME 730,000 people have visited Tayto Park so far this year.
The opening of the Cú Chulainn Coaster earlier this summer, Europe’s largest wooden rollercoaster with an inversion, is likely to have helped increase the visitors.
The increased footfall is almost double the amount of people who visited the park in all of 2013.
Figures for the Co. Meath park, which opened five years ago, were disclosed this week in preparation for the launch of the first Tayto Park After Dark Halloween Experience.
Tayto Park founder Raymond Coyle said: ‘The last few months have been some of the busiest we have ever seen. We hope the excitement about our attractions will only continue to grow as more people experience the rides we have on offer.’
In the same week, Tayto Park made its first appearance in the USA’s most renowned amusement park awards, The Golden Ticket Awards.
