Louis dismisses talk of Westlife and Boyzone touring as one

LOUIS Walsh insists that ‘hell will freeze over’ before Westlife take to a stage with Boyzone.

The music mogul was responding to the news that Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden had formed a quirky twoman show called Boyzlife.

Yesterday it was announced that tickets for the duo’s 11-date tour have already sold out.

Fans of Duffy, who sang with Boyzone, and McFadden, who left the nowdefunct Westlife in 2004, quickly snapped up tickets to see the pop pair perform hits from both groups and a number of McFadden’s solo singles.

The duo are going on tour across Hilton hotels in the UK – starting off in London on October 16 and finishing in Belfast on Halloween night.

McFadden even hinted that this double act could pave the way for a nine-man super group down the line.

But quicker than a Westlife key change, the groups’ old manager poured cold water on the prospect.

‘I read about Boyzlife and that’s Brian and Keith,’ Walsh said.

‘I like both of them – I think they’ll do okay. But there was a rumour about all of Boyzone and Westlife, and that is absolutely not true.

‘That will never ever happen until hell freezes over. The boys don’t want it and I definitely wouldn’t want it.

‘I wouldn’t want Boyzone and Westlife – Westlife don’t need anybody.

‘If they ever get back together, and I hope they do, it will be just them.’

Walsh also revealed that his longrunning feud with Ronan Keating had not ended amicably.

He said that he had moved on from the time he managed the Boyzone singer and insisted that they simply outgrew each other.

‘No, I don’t really care about him,’ the former X Factor judge, 63, said.

‘I’ve moved on to different things, he’s in Australia somewhere. I don’t really like him is the honest answer. I just don’t – I don’t love everybody. ‘I was his manager. ‘I got him all the hits, every single hit. ‘We outgrew each other. ‘A lot of people are ungrateful in this business but there are a lot of good people too.’
