Irish Daily Mail

Dear Irish Daily Mail reader

-

Over the next week we are delighted to bring you an array of fantastic promotions to mark the Centenary of the Easter Rising. The giveaway starts with the weekend’s Irish Mail on Sunday, which has a FREE copy of the incredible graphic novel Blood Upon The Rose. This celebrated opus tells the story of Easter 1916 in a powerful and accessible way, bringing the nation’s most celebrated moments in history alive in a way that is popular with adults and children alike.

On Sunday, you will also get your first token towards the fabulous FREE Commemorative Coin. Endorsed by the National Museum of Ireland, this unique coin carries the flag of the Irish Republic on one side and the Plough and the Stars, the flag raised by James Connolly’s Citizen Army, on the other. Inscribed around the edge are the names of all Seven Signatories of The Proclamation. This fabulous keepsake can be yours absolutely FREE simply by collecting the tokens which will appear every day in the Irish Daily Mail, plus one from the Irish Mail on Sunday. Also, every day next week we will have a stunning Easter Rising supplement, produced with the assistance of the National Museum of Ireland, telling different elements of our nation’s birth.

From Monday, the price of the Irish Daily Mail will be increasing by 20c a day. This is the first price increase on the paper since August 2008: in the intervening period, and through the worst of the recession, we have kept the price as low as possible. However, this 20c rise is now critical so that we can keep giving you the same brilliant newspaper every day – with our unparalleled mix of news, analysis, comment, photography, features, fashion, puzzles, property, TV listings and sport.

The Irish Daily Mail will, of course, remain the best value daily newspaper in the country. For less than most people pay for a cup of coffee or a slice of cake, a can of fizzy cola or a chocolate bar, we will keep you and your family informed, entertained, enlightened, active and amused for hours. And our promise to you, our readers, remains the same as ever: that we will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that your Irish Daily Mail is the nation’s best newspaper, every single day.
