Mammy, being in the limelight really is a bit of a bore!

YAWNING DEBUT FOR KAREN KOSTER’S NEWBORN

HE arrived into the world a week early and Karen Koster is looking as fresh as ever since giving birth to baby boy John James as she reveals she is finding everything ‘much easier’ than with her first son.

The TV3 broadcaster and her husband John McGuire welcomed their second son on February 29.

With the newborn deciding to make his grand entrance six days early, Xposé host Koster, 35, revealed it was a ‘real movie moment’ when she realised she was going into labour.

She told the Irish Daily Mail: ‘I was due on Mother’s Day and then my waters actually broke in the middle of the night.

‘It was weird because that hadn’t happened with Finn, so I woke up next to John and it was a real movie moment where I went, “I think my waters have broken”. I literally rolled over in the bed and was like, “Oh my God”, but earlier that night I remember feeling the baby was very active and I couldn’t really sleep, so maybe he was trying to get ready to come out.

‘The labour was much shorter than with Finn – it was only a few hours, totally different from the first, which was a day long. I’m feeling very blessed and very lucky and I’m just relieved he’s here safe and sound.’

Even though the TV anchor is now juggling two-week-old John Jr and 14-month-old Finn, she said it’s ‘so much easier’ the second time around.

She is taking seven months’ maternity leave and hopes to return to work in September.

She stepped out yesterday with her tot for the launch of Mothercare’s Spring Summer 2016 range, including the unveiling of Jools Oliver’s latest Little Bird collection.

Koster said: ‘I’m feeling really good. I’m obviously tired but my body is kind of wired for it now, so I’m definitely not feeling the same overwhelming levels of exhaustion.’

She added: ‘I’d love to go back to work in September because I went back at that time after Finn and I feel it’s a good, back-to-school time.’
