GAELIC GAMES SHORTS

-

UNDER-PRESSURE Laois football boss Mick Lillis has suffered a double blow ahead of his side’s final two games in the Allianz League campaign. In the wake of the O’Moore County’s draw with Derry last Sunday, Lillis is set to be without key players, Kieran Lillis, his son, and Mark Timmons for the forthcoming clashes, away to Cavan on Sunday week, and at home to Meath, on April 3. Midfielder Lillis sustained a suspected fracture of the leg after only seven minutes in the tie against the Oak Leaf County, and full-back Timmons, although he finished out last Sunday’s game, pulled a calf muscle during the course of the 70 minutes. ‘It looks very much like Kieran and Mark will miss our last two games in the League,’ explained Mick Lillis, whose side, having collected just three points, sit second from bottom in the Division 2 table.

BARRY O’SULLIVAN replaces Greg Horan in midfield, David Foran comes in for the injured Brandon Barrett in the half-forward line and Killian Spillane takes over on the edge of the square from Eánna Ó Conchúir as the Kerry team to play Limerick in the EirGrid Munster Under 21 Football Championship semi final at Austin Stack Park this evening shows three changes from the side that beat Tipperary in the opening round.
