IRISH IN ACTION: Séamus Power, Graeme McDowell. LAST YEAR: Charl Schwartzel recovered from a five shot deficit to close with a fourunder 65, before the South African beat America’s Bill Haas on the first hole of their play-off.

LAST WEEK: Dustin Johnson became just the fifth player to win their first PGA TOUR event after becoming world No1, taking the Mexico Championsh­ip title ahead of Tommy Fleetwood, Ross Fisher and Jon Rahm.

NOTES: Henrik Stenson is back in action after the Swede was forced to leave the Mexico Championsh­ip after 11 holes last week due to a stomach bug, but the world No6 said earlier this week he is still not 100 per cent.

LAST WEEK: Dean Burmester won his first European Tour title with victory at the Tshwane Open in Pretoria.

NOTES: The course only opened in 2015 — last year the tournament was held at the Delhi Golf Club.
