UNBELIEVABLE! BARCA BACK FROM DEAD

-

BARCELONA just do not know when they are beaten. No side had ever qualified from a Champions League knockout tie from 4-0 after the first leg. But Luis Enrique’s side made history last night, scoring six times against a PSG side that had humiliated them in Paris. The winner came deep into added time, Sergi Roberto latching on to Neymar’s cross to fire in and leave PSG boss Unai Emery nearly in tears. The curtain had looked like coming down on Barcelona when Edinson Cavani struck on the hour mark to leave the Spanish club, three goals to the good before that point, needing another three to go through. Enrique’s side had taken the lead after just three minutes, Suarez netting a looping header. PSG settled a little after the early goal and Barcelona became increasingly jumpy as the clock ticked down but just before the break Kurzawa put the ball past his own goalkeeper. Five minutes into the second period Messi scored from the spot before Cavani shot into the roof of Ter Stegen’s net. Many teams would have given up the ghost but not Barca. Neymar struck a beautiful free-kick on 88 minutes and netted a penalty in added time when Marquinhos felled Suarez. Roberto’s late goal sent the fans inside the Nou Camp wild. BORUSSIA DORTMUND’S Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang grabbed a superb hat-trick at Signal Iduna Park to steer his side into the last eight on a 4-1 aggregate at the expense of Benfica who had led 1-0 from the first leg.
