LINE OF DUTY Sunday, 9pm - BBC 1

IF there’s a better show on TV right now, I’ll eat my hat. I’ll even make an allowance for the fact that DS Arnott (Martin Compston) couldn’t possibly have survived a push over a stairwell and been left with no worse than a sore head (even with his anti-terrorism credentials). My own crime-solving partner thinks the swab that was taken of the conniving Roz Huntley’s (Thandie Newton) injured disfigured hand will be her undoing.

GUERRILLA Thursday, 9pm - Sky Atlantic

I’M pretty much a peace-loving guy at the best of times but I might be tempted to take up arms if Freida Pinto asked me to. Freida, aka Jas, issues a declaration of war on behalf of the Black Panthers in the Seventies UK black resistance drama. I hear that Idris Elba (Kent) has the same effect with the ladies.

UNREPORTED WORLD Friday, 7.30pm - Channel 4

I’D have put money on it being the US but it turns out American Samoa has the world’s highest rate of obesity in the world. This translates to one in three islanders suffering from diabetes. Now I was under the impression that living on a paradise island would mean you would be eating lots of fresh fruit. Alas, though, it is flooded with unhealthy processed food from abroad... America, perhaps?

MODERN FAMILY Friday, - 8.30pm , Sky 1

WHAT did we do before Catch Up TV? You can see that staying in is my going out. Modern Family is one of the sharpest sitcoms on TV and gay couple Cam and Mitch (Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson) regularly deliver. Here they have five minutes to catch a flight while fighting the effects of sleeping pills they took prematurely.
