So is that why the claws are out between old pals Naomi and Rihanna?

THEIR relationship emerged earlier this week when they were spotted putting on a steamy display in their swimming pool in Ibiza. But according to new claims, Rihanna’s romance with Hassan Jameel has exacerbated an alleged feud with former pal Naomi Campbell, pictured with Rihanna in 2014.

The Sun reports that the supermodel, who is thought to have dated the Saudi businessman last year, is disgruntled that the singer, 29, and Hassan have fallen for one another so hard – as she hates feeling ‘second best’.

Rihanna and Naomi, who were close friends, sparked rumours of a feud last year when they unfollowed each other on social media.

Now it has been claimed that the vastly wealthy businessman is the reason behind their anger.

According to the paper, Naomi, 47, is not impressed that Hassan chose the singer over her – while friends say Rihanna’s feelings for the millionaire run deep, and that she is not willing to back down.

A source revealed: ‘They’re both formidable women. No one knows exactly what went on between Naomi and Hassan but she certainly doesn’t like being second best.’

Adding of the Umbrella singer the source continued: ‘Rihanna is someone that falls hard for someone, and nothing can get in the way.’

Naomi’s romance with Hassan was never officially confirmed, but the pair were pictured looking cosy in July last year, when they attended the British Summer Time Festival in London.

Representatives of both Rihanna and Naomi have been approached for comment. Their feud reportedly began in 2015, when New York Post’s Page Six claimed that Londoner Naomi insulted the Barbadian singer at a nightclub in Paris, resulting in physical fight with model Cara Delevingne.

However, Naomi later denied this on Twitter, and her representatives said at the time: ‘No fight took place between Naomi Campbell and Cara Delevingne at Paris club Castel.’

However, a year later eagle-eyed fans later noticed that Naomi and Rihanna had unfollowed each other on both Twitter and Instagram.

Naomi did nothing to quash rumours when asked about tensions between them on Watch What Happens Live in March.

A viewer asked host Andy Cohen on the show about the pair: ‘No social media pics or communication either, is everything okay between the two of them?’

To which the supermodel replied coolly, without batting an eyelid: ‘Everything’s fine.’

When neither TV veteran Cohen nor the audience seemed convinced, she broke the silence with: ‘Of course it’s fine,’ adding with a wink, ‘I’m an actress now, Andy.’
