Annie Lennox ‘scouted’ 40 years too late

-

SHE’S sold 80million records worldwide – but it seems not everyone has heard of Annie Lennox.

The Eurythmics star, pictured, was sent a message from a US radio station worker who said the 62-yearold was ‘an artist with potential’.

Ms Lennox posted the message that offered to launch her career online, captioned: ‘I think I’m in with a chance??!!!’

The sender, called Kylie, says she was a ‘new music co-ordinator’ at a Los Angeles radio station.

She writes that she ‘came across [Ms Lennox’s] music online and really like what I heard’, adding: ‘I find artists who I think have potential and get them into rotation on our radio station.’

Kylie also offered to put the musician, who has won four Grammys and eight Brit awards, in touch with an ‘artist development firm’ that could help produce her marketing material.
