‘Weinstein raped me after awards ceremony’
THE latest actress to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault claimed he raped her in a hotel room after the Bafta movie awards.
Former model Natassia Malthe, 43, said she met the producer at a party following the 2008 ceremony.
But she claimed she felt pressured into telling him which West End hotel she was staying in in London.
The Norwegian, who has appeared in around 50 films, said she had fallen asleep in her room when she was woken by pounding and yelling at the door.
When she opened the door, she claimed Weinstein implied he could get her a role in a film while undressing himself. He then allegedly performed a sex act.
Ms Malthe added: ‘I was sitting on the bed talking to Harvey when he pushed me back and forced himself onto me.
‘It was not consensual. He did not use a condom.
‘I believe that I disassociated during the time that he was having sex with me. I laid still and closed my eyes and just wanted it to end.
‘I was like a dead person. Afterwards I lay there in complete disgust.’
Her lawyer, Gloria Allred, said the actress was ‘considering’ whether to make a report to police over the allegation. It would be the sixth claim of rape against Weinstein. The mogul is the subject of criminal investigations in London, New York and Los Angeles. The Weinstein Company, is the subject of a civil rights investigation. He has ‘unequivocally denied’ allegations of non-consensual sex.
