One of Ireland’s 11 Lions is omitted – head injury victim Jared Payne;

14 players who toured last June have been excluded. Garry Ringrose, Niall Scannell and Josh van der Flier are injured while Paddy Jackson has been omitted from all rugby due to an ongoing court case.

The 10 dropped from the squad are: Finlay Bealham, John Cooney, Dave Heffernan, Luke Marshall, Jack O’Donoghue, Tiernan O’Halloran, Rory O’Loughlin, Quinn Roux, Rory Scannell and outgoing Munster star Simon Zebo.
