GOALS from Pádraig McKeever and Conor Sheridan sealed back to back titles for Simonstown. AFL rookie Conor Nash played in McKeever for a 13th-minute goal that put Colm O’Rourke’s charges into a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. They led 1-3 to 0-4 at half-time and Sheridan’s 36th-minute goal, after a mix-up in the Summerhill defence proved decisive in a low-scoring game. WEXFORD SFC FINAL RAPPAREES 0-17 ST MARTIN’S 1-8

RAPPAREES of Enniscorth­y bridged a 13-year gap to their last county title and denied St Martin’s a double success after the previous week’s hurling final victory. Darragh Pepper scored twice as Rapparees raced 0-4 to 0-1 ahead in the opening quarter. Ciarán Lyng’s goal left St Martin’s trailing 0-9 to 1-2 at the break but two pointed frees from Dylan Redmond ensured Rapps stifled any potential second-period revival. WESTMEATH SFC FINAL ST LOMAN’S 3-13 TYRRELLSPA­SS 0-14

ST LOMANS, winners for the third year in-arow, made a dream start to this match, when Heslin caught the ball from the throw in and found the net with a fantastic finish, which will go down as one of the greatest goals ever scored in TEG Cusack Park. Heslin was marvellous throughout the game, scoring 2-6 to ensure that the Flanagan Cup will remain in Mullingar for a further year.
