It’s smashing news! Tennis ace Wozniacki gets engaged
WELL, this is just ace! Caroline Wozniacki is celebrating her engagement to her NBA star ‘soulmate’ David Lee.
The tennis star, 27, announced the news alongside a picture of her huge diamond engagement ring on Twitter yesterday.
‘Happiest day of my life yesterday saying yes to my soulmate David Lee,’ she wrote.
The image showed her perfectly manicured hand against the stunning backdrop of the blue ocean in Bora Bora, where the two have been holidaying.
As for 6ft 9in basketball star David, 34, he posted a picture of the couple cuddling on a speedboat as the sun set.
‘YES! So thrilled to be engaged to my soulmate,’ he wrote, adding heart and ring emoticons.
The celebration comes just a few days after Caroline triumphed in the WTA finals against Venus Williams in Singapore, taking the $7million prize.
She was previously engaged to Irish golfer Rory McIlroy, with the couple dating from 2011. They celebrated their engagement in early 2014 but just a few months later, Rory infamously broke it off over the phone.
Caroline previously said the end of that engagement felt like ‘someone had died’.
