Green light for a new Dalymount

THE new Dalymount Park will be completed by 2022 after Dublin City Council granted planning permission for the €50 million redevelopment of Phibsborough Shopping Centre. Bohemians will remain at their current home until the end of the 2019 season before a two-year groundshare with Shelbourne at Tolka Park. They will then both move across north Dublin and share the new 8,000 all-seater stadium. When the project was first unveiled it was hoped Dalymount would be completed in time for Euro 2020, and while that date was later pushed back a couple of years due to the technicities and formalities of the process, the Phibsborough project has now been given the green light.
