New Year, new me! But who is this A-list actress?

NOT every movie gets made as any Hollywood insider will attest.

And Jennifer Garner this week shared a snap of herself at a make-up test from one that she was up for in 2011.

The star was almost unrecognisable as a handsome young man, complete with short strawberry blonde hair, designer stubble and a small moustache.

The 45-year-old’s transformation, pictured left, was completed with a pale blue shirt.

Gone was the signature brunette hair but Jennifer’s hazel eyes gave her away. She posted the shot with a caption that read, ‘New Year, new me’ with a series of hashtags going some way to explaining the extraordinary image.

Jennifer gave shout-outs to make-up artist Rick Barker, adding‘ the mo vie never happened’ and‘ turns outi was preggers’ plus ‘babies are better than movies’ as she finished with ‘happynewyear’.

But she didn’t reveal the name of the movie.

The star was actually expecting her third child with her now ex-husband, Ben Affleck, 45, at the time. The couple welcomed son Sam to the world in February 2012, a sibling for sisters Violet, now 12, and Seraphina, who turns nine this month.

The remarkable photograph quickly gleaned 14,667 likes from among Jennifer’s 796,000 followers.

Many commented on her likeness to actors Eddie Redmayne and James Franco.

Meanwhile, Jennifer can next be heard in animation comedy Amusement Park set for release on March 15, and she will next be seen in Love, Simon, due out the day after.
