PROBLEM: Round and pale SOLUTION: Elongate with liner

-

LEIGH DENT, 44, is an actress. Married to Mark, 45, a businessman, they have grown-up twin sons.

SHE SAYS: I like my eyes and the way they appear to change from blue to green depending on the light, but they are very round and childlike in appearance, and my fine, blonde eyebrows add to that impression.

People compliment my complexion, but nobody ever says a thing about my eyes — it would be good to know how to make more of them. I wear very little make-up; tinted moisturiser during the day and mascara with a little eyeshadow in the evening. I usually go for a subtle and neutral shadow, but I’d love to try a more vibrant look.

OONAGH SAYS: Leigh has lovely eyes, but they’re quite round and I want to give them more of an almond shape, which is a bit sexier. I wanted to emphasise the colour against her beautiful porcelain skin and blonde hair and give her face even better proportions. I prepped the eyes with a Kiko Pearly Eye Base (€7.95, kikocosmetics.com) to give a sheen and ensure the eyeshadow stays in place, then drew a line of Lord & Berry Ink Glam Liquid Eyeliner (€21, lookfantastic.com) along her upper lids, drawing it out at the corners. This product has an amazing matte feel to it and has a mascara at the other end. I dabbed gold Wunder2 Glitter Gelly (€15.95, wunder2.eu) all over the eye socket and to the outer edge of the brow bone, creating that almond shape. Beneath the eye, I patted some Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (€5.79, boots.ie) to even out the skin tone.
