Kiely seals points as red cards almost cost Cork

- By STEPHEN WALSH

THIRTEEN-MAN Cork beat Louth by seven points at snowy Páirc Uí Rinn where a goal in both halves laid the foundations for a home victory that leaves Louth still without a win in this campaign. Cork had the better opening half with points from Colm O’Neill, Mark Collins, Michael Hurley and White, while Ryan Burns and Bevan Duffy replied for Louth. However, Sean White’s goal on 22 minutes gave Cork an eight-point lead at the break. Both Kevin O’Driscoll and Peter Kelleher saw red in the second half leading to a nervy few minutes for Cork, as Louth cut the gap to four points with points from William Woods, Andy McDonnell and Burns but they couldn’t find a way past impressive keeper Ryan Price. Debutant Cian Kiely’s late injurytime goal sealed victory.
