Paul Burrell baffled by medium’s insight into Diana

HE was recently left dumbfounded on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia – after famous medium John Edward made a revelation about the late Princess Diana.

And former royal butler Paul Burrell, pictured, has once again commented on his shock about how the clairvoyant knew about the ‘secret’ car crash the Princess of Wales was involved in before her fatal road accident in 1997.

Appearing on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, the 59-year-old admitted he was a ‘sceptic’ before his experience with John – who gave readings to the contenders on the Australian I’m A Celebrity – but was left astounded.

‘I’m a healthy sceptic,’ he said. ‘I don’t understand that science. [John Edward] is one of the best in the world and when he said about the car accident six months before she died... I didn’t think anything more of that until he said something about an accident – how would he know?’

During the reading on I’m A Celebrity, psychic John asked Paul about a photo that he moved. However, the former butler refused to discuss the picture in question while on the reality series. Now commenting on it, Paul told GMB hosts Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan that he moved the photograph to protect the princess.

‘There’s a private picture of the princess and I took it upon myself to protect her and I told the Queen what I was doing,’ he revealed. ‘It was a compromising picture of her with someone and I didn’t think it was right for people to see.’

Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997. The accident also claimed the lives of Dodi Fayed and driver Henri Paul.
