Spats And The City? SJP says she has never said anything mean to Kim

-

S ARAH Jessica Parker has denied ever uttering an ‘unkind, unsupportive, or unfriendly word’ towards Sex And The City co-star Kim Cattrall as their feud rumbles on.

Her words, in which she denied there was ever a ‘catfight’ between them, seem a little odd after Kim branded her a ‘cruel hypocrite’ and indicating there WAS a row.

However, Sarah Jessica, 53, says she wants to ‘redefine’ her feud with Kim, 61, both pictured, rather than reignite it.

She told Vulture: ‘I’d just like to remind everybody that there is no catfight. I have never uttered an unkind, unsupportive, unfriendly word, so I would love to redefine it.

‘I’ve always held Kim’s work in high regard and always appreciative of her contributions.

‘If she chooses not to do the third movie, there’s not a lot I can do to change her mind and we must respect it. That’s the only thing I’ve ever said about it, you know?’

Sarah Jessica and her co-stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are disappointed about not making another Sex In The City movie, but SJP says she has ‘moved on’.

She added: ‘The three of us have shared our disappointment that we’re not making that movie, not just on our behalf but our crew, but also just the people that have been vocal about wanting to see it.

‘But we still live in a free country where people get to make choices, and sometimes the answer is no, and the only way to respond for me is to respect that.

‘But, no, there is no catfight, there never has been a catfight.

‘I’ve never fought with someone publicly in my life, nor would I.’

It was reported that the film fell through because of Kim’s ‘diva demands’. Back in February, the feud exploded as Kim launched a public attack on her former colleague.

Taking to Instagram, Kim branded SJP a ‘cruel hypocrite’ after Sarah Jessica had publicly offered condolences following the sudden death of Kim’s brother Christopher.

‘I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessi caparker,’ the actress posted.

With the post Cattrall pasted a link to a New York Post article titled ‘Inside the mean-girls culture that destroyed Sex And The City’.

In the scathing post she accused SJP of ‘exploiting’ her family tragedy to ‘restore her nice girl persona’.

‘Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now,’ Cattrall wrote.

‘Let me make this VERY clear (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your “nice girl” persona.’
