No flies on England — they hope!

ENGLAND could be forced to cope with a swarm of insects at the Volgograd Arena tonight. It emerged yesterday that helicopters have sprayed the stadium with insecticide to minimise the impact of the pests ahead of tonight’s clash. Sky Sports had to abandon a broadcast from outside the team hotel in Volgograd — just a stone’s throw from the stadium — due to the infestation. England medical staff, however, are prepared for the problem — players will be covered in insect repellent tonight.
