Louise is still a mammy’s girl at heart as she blossoms in her life after Jamie

-

SHE has been embracing life as a single mother following her split from her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, who is a TV pundit and former footballer. But Louise Redknapp took a moment to thank her own mother, Lynne Nurding, for her support as she shared a touching birthday tribute on Instagram.

Sharing a sweet throwback snap of the pair, the singer, 43, thanked her mother for being by her side.

The nostalgic image, above left, showed a very young and cherubic Louise dressed in a floral jumpsuit and nestled into her mother as the pair cuddled on their on sofa.

‘Happy birthday mum, thanks for being by my side. Love this pic. Makes me smile every time,’ the touching tribute read.

Louise has no doubt relied on her mother, pictured above right with Louise, since ending her marriage to former Liverpool footballer Jamie last year. The pair had been married for 19 years before calling it a day.

But the Eternal singer, who shares sons Charlie, 14, and Beau, nine, with her ex, proved she’s handling life as a single mother well as she opened up about life with her boys earlier in the year.

During an interview with Tess Daly, as part of the series Heart’s Confessions Of A Celebrity School Run, Louise admitted she spends a lot of time driving her offspring around.

‘I drop the older one to the bus stop in the morning. The older one is quite stroppy, so he always gets out of the car on an argument,’ she quipped.

The star did, however, beam about the joy that her busy days give her, as she said of what she loved the most: ‘When you’re doing the school pick-up and they run towards you and they are smiling, there is nothing better.’

The former Strictly contestant continued: ‘The little one is just beaming all the time. He runs gets in the car. He’s happy and tells me about his day. And the older one... he’ll get in the car and say, “What’s for dinner?” I say, “The good news is you can have whatever you want. The bad news is you’ll have to wait because I haven’t been to the supermarket yet.”’
