Lucy’s heartache over Ryan’s ordeal on CBB

LUCY Mecklenburgh has tearfully discussed her heartache over boyfriend Ryan Thomas’s ‘Punchgate’ scandal in Celebrity Big Brother.

In their first joint interview, the couple, pictured left, appeared on ITV’s This Morning to dissect the heartbreaking incident in which fellow housemate Roxanne Pallett had accused former Coronation Street star Ryan of ‘repeatedly and deliberately’ punching her in the CBB house.

Emotional former The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy said: ‘I think they should’ve revoked [his formal] warning. It was showing the footage... if that wasn’t the chance when were they gonna tell Ryan? I felt like it was a little bit too long.’

Ryan’s time in the house was marred with controversy after his co-star Roxanne caused ructions when she accused him of ‘repeatedly and deliberately punching’ her – however she later quit the house and admitted she was wrong.

Last week Ryan, who went on to win the contest, admitted his appearance was not something he prepared for, as he said: ‘I put this show off for a long time and it’s not something I ever wanted to do...

‘I was scared of showing the real me. To put yourself under the spotlight is so hard .... You can’t hide from the camera.

‘My manager is telling me this and that and I have no idea. I’ve not had time to digest it. People tell me this and that.’

Lucy admitted to wanting to help her beau on TV, saying: ‘I got in my car a few times because I wanted to go in there and drag him [out]. It was so frustrating and watching you cry. I think you were all crying.’
