Kim sorry for ‘not eating is a compliment’ comment

-

KIM Kardashian has apologised over a video she posted online in which she thanked her sister for telling her she had lost so much weight that it looked like she’d stopped eating altogether.

The comment on the clip posted in July immediately drew a backlash as the 37-yearold reality TV star was accused of not being sensitive to women with eating disorders.

Kim apologised for her comment when she talked to plus-size model Ashley Graham on Tuesday for her new podcast Pretty Big Deal.

‘So my intention is never to offend anyone and I really, you know, apologise if I offended anyone, because an eating disorder is – I know people that have serious eating disorders that have been in and out of the hospital for 15 years, close people. So I’ve like, been through, I have experienced it enough to have, like, known better.’

Kim shared the video on Instagram Stories when she was with Khloe and Kendall. Kendall says it looks like Kim is not eating. Kim replies, ‘What? What? Oh my God, thank you!’

During the interview, Kim said: ‘You know I was, like, with my sisters and we were laughing and joking and it’s loud and you are – you know, I dunno, I guess, sometimes you can get, like, carried away and just, it was insensitive, you know, and it definitely wasn’t my intention though.’

She added: ‘And I think, especially my fans and everyone that was watching was supportive, like, “OK, look, like, maybe you guys shouldn’t have said that but I know what you were saying”.’

Kim worked out with a bodybuilder for a year and cut out sugar to lose weight.
