LINDA MOONEY
Psychic agony aunt and angel therapist
QUESTION
Dear Linda, I am a 42-year-old male and have always known I was adopted. In my 20s I traced my birth mother who was then married. Her husband could not have any children, so I was her only child. At the time she did not want to have anything to do with me. She has recently been in touch to say that her husband has passed away and has asked me would I like to meet up.
I am both angry and hurt over this. She is getting on in years and while she may be having her regrets now, I cannot bring myself to see her. I was very lucky to have had wonderful caring parents and feel at this stage of my life I just want to leave well enough alone.
She thinks I am being selfish and I am actually appalled at her attitude. I would appreciate your spiritual views on the matter. Thanks, M
ANSWER
Dear M, Your reaction is very understandable, and it is hard for you to comprehend why she took the course of action she did. However, no doubt she was doing the best she could with the knowledge and circumstances in her life at the time. You are doing likewise at the moment, and it is of course important for you to follow your own heart.
When you make it right for yourself you make it right for everyone around you. However, do not let your anger and hurt prevent you from making a decision you may very well regret.
Take time out to consider that this may be the opportunity you were looking for in your 20s, and as the saying goes “it is never too late”.
Consider the situation carefully and be sure when your decision is made there is no room for regret!
÷FIRST CARD: LIFE REVIEW
It takes courage to look at your life. Yet, if done with compassion and a sense of humour, you’ll grow and learn from a life review. The angels will help you take stock of where you’ve been. They will look at what you’ve learned, and how these lessons are a valuable asset for today and tomorrow.
They will also help you notice life patterns that aren’t serving your highest good, and they will help you take steps to release those patterns.
÷ ADVICE/OBSTACLE: MOTHER HEALING
By drawing this card, Heaven asks you to release some remaining “mother issues.” Give the entire situation to Heaven, knowing that everything is in the hands of infinite Spirit. The situation may heal in unexpected ways. Be unconcerned with how it heals, and be vigilant in releasing any lower energies connected to your mother that could interfere with your life’s mission.
By releasing any mother issues to Heaven, your heart opens further to accepting joy and blessings into your life. Your mother benefits when you are happy, whether or not she’s consciously aware of it.
Be willing to forgive and release old issues relating to yourself, your mother, mother figures, or anyone connected to your mother. By cleaning your inner house, you invite new love, opportunities, abundance, and healing energy to enter your life.
÷ OUTCOME: RELATIONSHIP HARMONY
Your prayers for person peace have been answered, and you are to be commended for your role in ushering peace into this situation. Visualise everyone involved (including yourself) being cooperative and open-minded, even if particular persons aren’t usually this way. Trust the inner guidance you receive, and know that changes are sometimes uncomfortable but often necessary.
Ask the angels to help with any aspects of relationships that need healing. Know that all relationships ultimately have blessings, growth lessons, and love at their core, even if appearances seem otherwise.
Stay focused upon this truth as much as possible.
