Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue Of Ignorance), 9pm, RTÉ2
IN this blackly comic, surreal satire, Michael Keaton (pictured) is on fine form in the Oscarwinning tale of Riggan, a fading movie star trying to escape his blockbuster past by directing a Broadway play. Riggan might be seen levitating, practising telekinesis and even flying, but he’s also a believable, complex central character – a man struggling with his own identity and with his role as father to a troubled daughter (Emma Stone).
